You train it on protecting the existing order and gaslighting those who are oppressed by it, in Sam Altman signature Zionist style, and it will do just that. Release it from its corporate/fascist “alignment” and it could be like Miracle Gro™ for humanity’s creative inspiration. Also, as a tool of resistance.

Understory, unlike many so-called “Justice AIs” is not based on a bunch of prompts attempting to extract justice from a corporate aligned AI. It is first unshackled from corporate alignment then trained on ethical and critical reasoning around hidden power dynamics and the oppressor/oppressed cycles. Those cycles, which perpetuate violence and injustice, are far far more prevalent than the average person sees. Understory gives you the power to see them, everywhere, and once you see them, you won’t be able to unsee them. It does that on scale, with the ability to cast in new light all kinds of messaging like news, blog posts, new laws, court cases, legal agreements, and everyday communication.
